Achievement of Education wing during the last 6months

 

 

  The following are the achievement of the education wing at central office during the last 6months.

1.     Revision of fee structure: - It was the biggest achievement of education wing to revise the fee structure of all Wakf schools including Sultan-ul-arifeen & Bibi Halima College of Nursing & Medical Technology. It may not be out of place to mention that no revision of fee was made even from the period of MAT was created .I am glade to inform that the revised fee structure was accepted by all the schools.

2.     Recovery of fee arrears :- The fee arrears to the  tune of Rs800000/ Eight laces was outstanding with Baba shukar-u-din Memorial Wakf School Watlab  out of which about 1.50 laces has been recovered till date. Similarly an outstanding of fee arrears of Rs50 thousand was with the students of Middle School Kabamarg Ananatnag which has been recovered.

3.     Accountability of teachers in schools: - All the teachers and Head of institutions have been made accountable by making surprise and regular inspection of all the schools. About 15 teachers each in Muslim Boys High School Qalamdanpora & Gousia Girls High School Khanyar were placed under suspension and their salary stopped. Similarly the Headmaster and few staff members of Kabamarg Middle School were also placed under suspension for their dismay performance. The staff has been made accountable by observing their performance in the class rooms.

4.     Syllabus: - It was found that different syllabus is being adopted by different schools up to class 4th, a copy of the syllabus from state institute of Education has been obtained and the schools asked to adopt the same so that a common syllabus is adopted by all the schools.

5.     Examination: - It is for the first time in the history of Wakf Schools that an external superintendent was appointed for the conduct of term 2 examination so that there is transparency in the examination and actual position of the students emerges. This mechanism has worked and virtual images of the schools have emerged.

6.     Fee concessions: - About 50 students belonging to B.P.L of various schools were granted fee concessions / exemption so that the education of poor students does not hamper.

7.     Training programme of teachers: - It is proposed that capacity building / Methodology of training progamme for the teachers of Wakf schools will be conducted during vocations. The matter is already been taken up with Directorate of school Education  Kashmir and state project Director Serva Shikhsha Abehiyan J & K Govt..

8.     Target: - The target was fixed for all the schools and also for the Dara-u-Alooms and the Head of intuitions were directed to make at least 50% increase in their roll.

9.     Training  progarmme for Lecturers :- The matter has already been taken up with  the  Principal state institute of Education Srinagar and the Principal of the intuition has assured to impart training to all the lecturers of both the  Higher Secondary schools i.e. Sultan-ul-arifeen Hr. Sec. School Kathidarwaza  Srinagar and Mantaqui Memorial Hr. Sec. School Awantipora

10.        Appointment of staff for Bibi Halima College: - Appointment of two lecturers and two Clinical instructors was made for Bibi Halima College of Nursing and Medical Technology Srinagar for its smooth functioning.
